BMW Celebrates Racing Win With Ultra-Limited M4

In celebration of its 2014 DTM Championship win, BMW will produce a limited number of the M4 DTM Champion Edition. Offered only in Alpine White as a tribute to the DTM winner, only 23 copies will be produced, reflecting driver Marco Wittmann's number. However, the special edition will only be on sale in Germany.

Bmw M4 Dtm Champion Edition Decal The M4 DTM Champion edition will be powered by the same 425-hp twin-turbo I-6 as the standard car, but unlike lesser 2015 BMW M4 models, the special edition will feature a matte black hood and trunk lid with colored stripes running from front to back, along with black character lines down the sides of the car. Also featured is an M kidney grille with an orange outline, and M badges next to the front wheel arches.

The number 23 can be found on the doors, while "WIT" and "DTM Champion 2014" lettering next to the German flag adorns the rear side windows. BMW has a history of selling special models in extremely limited quantities. Most recently, the brand offered a 30th Anniversary edition of the M5 limited to 300 copies -- with just 30 of those bound for the U.S. Prior to that, BMW sold a special Carbon Edition of the X6 and a series of matte-finished "Frozen" paint editions, all in limited numbers.
